Strategic Priorities (2017-2022)
The EAKC Strategic Plan (2017-2022) identifies the following priority areas:
Enhancing political, economic and social unity within the EAC
Promotion and development of Kiswahili for wider communication in EAC.
Amendment of EAC Treaty for declaration and adoption of Kiswahili as one of the official languages of EAC.
Encourage and develop mutually beneficial collaborations with other stakeholders and partners.
Capacity building of Kiswahili institutions in Partner States.
